Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) or PMAY (U) scheme was launched in the year 2017 with the aim of providing pucca houses for all households in urban areas. Indian government introduced Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) under PMAY for Middle Income Groups (MIG) I and MIG II.
CLSS focuses on covering the entire urban area population. Be it under Development Area/Special Area Development Authority/Industrial Development Authority/Notified Planning/Urban Development Authority or any Authority under the State legislation. 4331 cities and townships have been included under PMAY(U). Complete list of the cities and townships can be found in the official website – Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs here –

MIG households with an annual income between Rs.6,00,001 up to Rs.12 lakh.
