All you need to know about Home Loan Statements

Home loan statement is a summary of your home loan account. Home loan statement includes capital borrowed, details of EMI, amount of home loan repaid, and balance amount of home loan yet to be repaid. Home loan statements are similar to bank account statements. It contains all the information about your home loan. It is a record of transactions and balance due, and can be generated at any time by the borrower or as decided by the bank. 

When is home loan statement required? 

  • Home Loan Statement is required to calculate debt-to-income ratio. 
  • It gives the borrower a clear picture of the sum yet to be repaid and the number of installments that are due. 
  • Home loan statement is a proof to be used for payment of income tax and for tax exemption. 
  • Home loan statement helps the borrower keep track of all the loan transactions and activities.  
  • The home loan statement can be used as proof that a home loan repayment is in progress. 
  • Home loan statement is checked by future lending institutions to determine the repayment capability of the borrower. 
  • Home loan statement/Provisional Certificate is required to be submitted in certain banks when you apply for a home loan. Hence, it will be required for your future loans. 

Home Loan Statements are provided by these banks: 

  • ICICI bank 
  • Axis bank 
  • HDFC bank 
  • IDBI bank 
  • Piramal Capital & Housing Finance Limited 

Here’s how you can get home loan statement from each bank in the list: 

Get home loan statement from ICICI Bank 

ICICI Bank home loan statement is issued at the end of financial year. You can also download your ICICI bank provisional certificate online using internet banking. Use the login credentials provided to you by the bank at the time of opening your home loan account. 

Step 1 – Login to your ICICI bank internet banking by clicking on this link –  

https://www.icicibank.com/Personal-Banking/insta-banking/internet-banking/index.page

Step 2 – In the tabs on left side of the screen, click on ‘Account summary’. 

Step 3 – Under the ‘Account summary’, click on ‘e-statements’ button.  

Step 4 – Select your loan account by clicking on the correct account number. If you have more than one account with ICICI, for instance SB account, current account, loan account, make sure you select on the loan account number.  

Step 5 – Select the transaction period by choosing the dates in the ‘Transaction period’ or ‘Transaction date from and to’. 

Step 6 – You can choose to download the generated loan account statement in PDF format or e-mail it to yourself. For downloading the statement, click on ‘E-statement’. Click on ‘PDF’ to generate loan account statement.  

To e-mail the generated loan account statement, click on ‘send over e-mail’ button. Enter the e-mail address and click on ‘submit’. 

Step 7 – Logout from your internet banking account and close the browser for your safety. 

Get home loan statement from Axis bank 

Axis bank home loan statement is generated at the end of each month and e-mailed to the registered e-mail address in the home loan account. It can also be generated by the Axis bank customer anytime by contacting Axis bank customer care.

You can also contact the customer support team for loans via e-mail at loans@axisbank.com. Please note that you will have to write the e-mail from the registered e-mail address as mentioned in your home loan account. This is mandatory for security purposes. In the e-mail, mention your home loan account number and period for which you want your home loan statement.  

Get home loan statement from HDFC bank 

Step 1 – Visit the official website of HDFC bank by clicking on this link – https://www.hdfcbank.com/ 

Step 2 – From the menu bar in the website, click on the ‘Ways to bank’ button. 

Step 3 – In the screen that appears, from the left options, click on the ‘bank online’ button. 

Step 4 – You will be redirected to the login page. Click on ‘login to net banking’. 

Step 5 – Scroll to loan statement and click on ‘download’ to get your latest loan statement.  

Get home loan statement from IDBI bank 

You can download home loan statement/provisional certificate of your IDBI bank home loan from their official website. Please keep all the loan account information handy. It is important to have access to the registered e-mail address of your home loan account while downloading it.  

Please note that only the primary applicant of the home loan has permissions from IDBI bank to download the provisional certificate. Co-applicants and guarantors are not offered this facility by the bank.  

Here are the steps you need to follow in order to download your home loan statement of IDBI bank. 

Step 1 – Visit the official website of IDBI bank by clicking on this link –  

https://webapps.idbibank.co.in/Easy_Access_LIVE/

Step 2– Enter the customer ID for your internet banking of IDBI bank, loan account number, date of birth and PAN number. 

Step 3 – Click on ‘submit’ button. You will receive the updated home loan statement until the last day of the previous month. Please note that it will be sent to your registered e-mail address mentioned in your IDBI Bank home loan application.  

Get home loan statement from Piramal Capital & Housing Finance Limited 

Step 1 – Visit the official website of Piramal Capital & Housing Finance by clicking on this link – https://www.pchf.in/ 

Step 2 – Login to the website by entering your mobile number and OTP here – https://www.pchf.in/ApplicationStatus/CustomerApplicationStatus/CustomerLogin 

Step 3 – Click on ‘Enquiries’ tab. 

Step 4 – Click on ‘Home loan provisional certificate’ button. 

Step 5 – Enter your loan account number, name, and other relevant details as may be required. 

Step 6 – Piramal Housing Finance Home Loan Statement is generated. From here, applicants can print, view or download their loan statement.
